Dear Scrappers,

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas, and for those who celebrate other special events this time of year, that you shared good times with those you love too.

I’m sure a few of you would have been working, and we thank those of you in health, emergency, retail and hospitality who gave up some of your time to ensure others were looked after.  I hope you are able to catch up with loved ones soon.

As the year comes towards the end I find myself filling up calendars for 2016 with birthdays, anniversaries and other special events I don’t want to miss.  So whilst you’ve got yours out, why not put an (A) for Azza against our class dates for 2016 – even if you don’t yet know if you will make it.  That way you can drop me a line and book in when you do know.  Of course, if you can’t make any of the dates you can drop me a line with the dates when your group meets and see if we can tie up something just for you.

Don’t forget too, those of you out of metro, we now have a camper van and are always looking for an excuse to head out, so again, drop me a line and let me know what you would like, where and when and we’ll see if we can’t make a date.  I’m happy to do a full day for those in the country if that makes it more worthwhile for your ladies.

I’m looking forward to bringing some exciting new products to you in 2016, and wait with anticipation our new catalogue which we hope to be here late Feb or early March.   

New Toronto Studio Template, Mandela Decorative Theme kit and Focus Box Leaves

It's been a couple of months since we have had a whole new set of Azza products to play with so we've been having great fun playing and putting all sorts of ideas on our pages to inspire you.

If you have been following Azza for a while you'll know that they often bring out a set or two of specialist pages - that is, pre-cut pages to complement the 30x30 scrapbooking pages and add a bit of extra interest or 'va-va-boom!' to your albums.  These 'Leaves' are no exemption.  in each kit you get two sets of one 30x30 page, plus two rounded sheets and one circular sheet, cut in half.  Use some or all of them, mix and match, add them together, twist them round, loads of different ways to use them.  As always they compliment the latest template, in this case the beautiful Toronto.   But this one is different...  

Rather than get the traditional two templates you get one, plus a set set of stencils to assist in the decorative work - so that you can blank of to create uninterrupted chalk or ink waves and curves for example.  It makes life soooo easy.  Talking of decoration, the Theme kit is just divine.

Mandela is so versatile, I have used it to make tyres for a car page, and flowers for a ... well, flowery page, and here with the Leaves just as a random decoration.  

I'd better stop rabbiting on and let you have a look at the pages.  What do you think?

Congratulations to Angel L for coming second in the national competition with this excellent page!  Angela used the Macao/Bilbao template, and echoed the striations in Wave Rock with different coloured sand.  It's a great page showing a lovely family holiday in WA's  Eastern Wheatbelt.

Competition - "Textures!"

Scrappers, I'm pleased to announce that we have booked Swanleigh as the venue for our Azza West Weekend Away 2015.  

The accommodation is lovely and the scrapping space is wonderful too - thanks Ros for checking it out.   It has been highly recommended and I am assured the food is quite delicious.    

We're planning a special project for you and all scrappers get an Azza goody bag to use over the weekend and take home.  You don't need your own gear as we will have everything you need - but if you have then obviously you can bring it along.

If you are new to Azza we'll be running a special class on the Friday afternoon to get you started, or you can get some help with your unfinished pages, or photos you are stuck on.

You can come all weekend, just for the day time on Saturday, or even book in to stay for dinner and extended scrapping into the night.  

All you need to do is ask me for a booking form, complete and send it back.

Azza West Weekend Away 2015

Well folks,  wouldn't you just like to spend an ENTIRE weekend scrapping?  with a bit of wine, chocolate and chat thrown in for good measure... perhaps learn something new, or win a prize, enjoy good food and spend time with friends old and new?

Come to our AZZA WEST AWAY WEEKEND 2015.

Ros, Tanya and I are just putting together the outline and hope to launch it to you all at the end of the week.  Safe to say, mark your self as 'busy' and 'out of the office' from 24 - 26 July.

If you want to get 'first refusal' on the limited places we have drop me an email - we'll be sending out to those who've expressed an interest before we put details up on the blog and facebook.

We'll have more space, more light and more bedrooms than last year so get in now.  We already have expressions of interest that will take us to more than half full.

Great fun to make and decorate - here I've used the concentric wood circles that come free with the Bilbao-Macau Studio kit, papers, circles stamp, chalk pencils and gold gel pen to finish and for the journalling.

At last, the new template is available.

Fiji Studio, the Azza Theme pack 'Couture' and the Azza Focus box 'Figurines' are our new February stars and are shown below.

The Couture kit is filled with wonderful ideas for decorating pages or making cards and off the page projects.   You might have noticed I used the stamp on my Balmoral Estate and the train pages (see below).   There is so much more to do with this.  love it love it!!!  Oh and it will be the theme to our February class, so get your name down now.

The Fiji Studio kit is ssssoooo easy to use.  You'll love creating pages.  it's especially useful if you have only landscape or only portrait pictures, although as you can see from the pages I've made you can use a mixture too.  It's a real must have in you your template stash, and I'm sure it will quickly become a firm favorite.

On page 3 you can see the Focus Box.  Using the button theme from the Couture pack, this teaches you how to decorate your paper and cotton figures / silhouettes, so that you can use on your pages, cards and other off the page projects.   Great ideas.   Hope to be looking more closely at these in the March lesson, so let me know if you are interested in coming to that.   There are some gorgeous new stamps too.  oh I can feel an order coming on...

I hope all your little treasures had a wonderful holiday and you have some peace now they are back at school.  Just to help keep the calm at the weekend why not grab the new Azza Kidz, print out their favorite photos and get them to make a page.  They'll love the cupcake - perfect for all those parties they went to - and what a lovely memory to keep.

Last but not least, the latest issue of the Azza magazine is out in February too.  You can get a single copy from me, or subscribe and have each copy sent to you direct.  At only $65 per year it is $10 cheaper than buying each copy as it comes out.

Here's a page using the Maldives template.  The photos had been languishing at the bottom of my 'odd's box for some time.  They work beautifully here.  Question is, can you work out what the tune is?  of course's its from the musical....  di di di di-di di di di...  I'll give you a bit of TIME so don't make any SNAP decisions.

We'll be looking at the new decorative kit, so bring your next set of photos and we'll look at decorating your page simply and effectively without overpowering or hiding your wonderful snaps.
