July Products

The new July Azza products have been released and they are just lovely!  take a look at our July catalogue - on the tab above or copy and paste https://online.flippingbook.com/view/709863/ into your browser.

There are some really sweet decoration products - first up is the fairground theme... great for photos of the Royal Show - or any of your local shows.  Have you been on one of the big wheels around the world?  London Eye, Singapore Flyer, Fremantle wheel?    Here's a must have stamp and die set for your page:
how cute is that?  Lots more stamps, deco stencils, foil dies (that is a BEAUTIFUL firework - check it out), papers...

Next up is the double page template ORLANDO... I can see this being a favourite.  Mine is still on the way as I missed the first batch to come into Australia it went that fast - we do have it in stock now I'm pleased to say.  Long time followers will know that double page templates come with a book rather than a studio, and this is no exception.  With the book the price is $42 (book is not available separately), or just the two templates at $29.50.

Finally, all those with new babies in the family - or still doing baby photos for special birthday albums will love our final theme this month -  yes, you've guessed, it's all about babies.  Mostly human babies, but of course you know me and my elephants so this is my favourite item this month...

One last thing about our catalogues.  Those with keen eyes will have noticed a box with 'AD' in.  This denotes a special scan point is near by.  You will need to down load the 'AD' APP onto your phone then scan in the picture that says 'Scan me' or 'Scannez-Moi' in French,  and you will find information on how to use the products to create the page, card or other project shown.   Isn't it great when we can use technology to help us get more ideas?  but that's what you are doing now reading this so you are the converted! Look out for projects beside this:

I promised you more exciting news and there is still more to come this month, do keep an eye on this blog.  So you don't miss anything, sign up to get a short email to let you know when I've posted by adding your email into the 'following by email' section on the right.  I don't have any control over that and you can opt in or out whenever you like.  You will get a message from Google to confirm you want to follow me, so check your spam box once you've left your email just so you don't miss out.

That's all for now, follow my FaceBook page to see what the ladies have been creating at my classes, or my Pinterest page to see my own pages.

Have fun, enjoy creating,

Barb

Apologies to the ladies pictured... this is a VERY old photo and I'm sure we have all changed hairstyles and shapes... remind me to take a new one next class lol.

Well ladies this is going to be the first of a few posts in the next week.  There is lots to tell you about, but first I need to tell you about classes coming up in July.  Please note that the Chalking Course MUST be booked in advance so I can order the items in time for them to arrive.

Basic / Intermediate Class -  Saturday 13 July
Morning : 9.30am - 12.30pm
Afternoon: 2pm - 5pm
Classes are $25 per head, per class.  I provide all tools and consumables, all you bring are your photos.  Spaces are limited so booking is essential.  You are welcome to BYO Lunch if you want to stay for both classes (ie $25x2). Contact me below to book in.

Chalking Course Part 1 - SESSION 1 of 5
Wednesday 17 July  7.30pm - 10.30pm
Saturday 20 July       2pm - 5pm
See below for details of Chalking course.  Booking is essential before 2 July.

Stamping Course - ADVANCED TECHNIQUES - Total 10 Sessions
Saturday  6 July      Class one
Contact me for details of this course - you need to have attended at least one of the previous courses (Chalking / Inking / Deco Stencils) as those skills are used in the building of the pages - each skill set builds on the previous.  (details will be sent by email).

CHALKING COURSE

Why use chalk?
Chalk is a beautiful forgiving medium that adds subtle shading to your page and enhance your photographs.  It can change the tone of the page or additional paper making it just the perfect fit with your photos.   Chalk is easy to use - once you know how, and with the addition of chalk pencils you can learn clever tricks to make your pages stand out from the crowd.
Learn how to add chalk to your page in lots of different ways:
Using it with the shapes of your template, to build a frame, extend the photo (above right), with embossed paper, with versamark, blending colours, on dark and light paper, to change the tone of paper, to fill in 'blank' spots on your page with subtle decoration...  Chalking is the first technique to learn once you have mastered the basic idea of creating scrap pages the Azza way, so if you have been to a few classes and are ready to learn more this is the way to go.
About the Course:
This course is run over 10 sessions.  I have split it in two, part one - the first five sessions - will be offered on Wednesdays and Saturday in July to November 2019.  Part two will be February to June 2020.  In this course we follow pages from the creative team - using sketch sheets and the same template to quickly build a page so that you have time to learn a new technique each session and apply it to your page.  You will finish with a small booklet of examples to remind you of the techniques as well as your pages. It is important that you can plan a page yourself, use sketch sheets, and that you can build a page following examples.   You should have attended at least two 'Basic / Intermediate' classes prior to starting for the course (those on 13th July count).
As everyone uses the same template you will need to either have already purchased the template or order when you book into your first session.  You will also be given a set of chalks each lesson - for this reason I have to close bookings for the course on 2 July so that I can order the necessary templates & chalks for the first lesson.

Dates will be:
Saturdays:  20 Jul / 17 Aug / 21 Sept / 19 Oct / 16 Nov
Wednesdays: 17 Jul / 14 Aug / 11 Sept / 9 Oct / 13 Nov
You can attend whichever day in each month suits you, ie if you can't make the Saturday you can swap to the Wednesday that month or visa versa (as long as you book in).

Templates used:   Fiji & Orion.  Each template can be purchased either as Duo (just the templates) for $29.50 or as the Studio Kit (with the instructions, ideas and sketch sheets) for $55.00.  We will use the Fiji in part one and Orion in part 2.

Three Ways to Pay:
1. Pay up front for 5 lessons, (includes 5 classes, the studio kit & chalks) $220* - save $10
2. Direct Debit - on the first of each month - (includes 5 classes, the studio kit & chalks) $45/month* - save $5
3. Monthly in advance - $37 per month (includes 1 class plus 1 chalk pack) - NB: first month you will also need to purchase the template (duo or studio kit) if you don't already have it, session one and template must be paid for before 2 July, subsequent sessions to be paid for a lesson in advance.
(*obviously less if you already have the template - I can work that out for you, please ask.)

I will send out the sketch sheet and two examples at the beginning of each month, so you can prepare your photographs at home.  These are faster paced classes than the beginners/intermediate so you will need to be prepared by choosing your photos and their placement in advance.

Contact me by email or phone or FB message to book in.

Meanwhile, enjoy battening down the hatches for some serious scrapping.

June Products & Classes

Hello Ladies,

What wonderful weather we are having - but due for a change at the end of the week so dust off your scrapbooking supplies and hunker down for a serious session!

There are three classes this month, open to everyone:

Saturday June 8
Morning Class: 9.30am - 12.30pm
Afternoon Class: 2.00pm - 5.00pm

Monday June 10
Evening Class: 7.00pm - 10.00pm

Please contact me (email, FB Msg, text) to book in.  Places are limited so please let me know if you can make it.

We have some lovely new products, all can be found in the June catalogue edition - click the tab above or HERE

This month our template is a little different... it's a 25x25cm stencil called SHELL.   You can use it with both our 25x25 pages and our 30x30 pages.  Here are some 'pages' I've made using it:

First a simple 25x25 page with the SHELL template,

These two pages use the 25x25 SHELL template on a 30x30 page - extending the lines on the template and using the mat to ensure I got the shape correct at the end of the photographs.  The two pages are really one double page.

This set of pages have been created using the 25x25pages, cutting two to fit the SHELL template and attaching to the third page.

This next set have been created the same way, just using different parts of the template.

And the same again, with yet another shape within the same SHELL template.

All the 25x25 pages have used some of the new seaside decoration - check out all the different options in the new June catalogue.

If you would like to place an order just drop me an email or give me a call.

Hope that has inspired you to do some scrapping this coming soggy weekend - I will be.

Happy Scrappin'
Barb :-)

Hidden photos and journalling

Hello again,

Over the years I've had a few people question me about journalling on our pages.  It's not that we don't do it, just that as we often make many pages of a holiday or event there is no need to journal every page.  It is good to put dates (when you can remember them), and of course names of those who appear in the photos, location ect, but that can be done on the title page, on a special journal page or index and isn't necessary on every page.

When we journal, how do we 'do it'?  Often we use signs that are already at the location, (like the one here)...

or use our alphabet templates to annotate location, date or occasion - here is a page that does all three

and one that combines both methods...

But what about when you want to tell more of a story?  That's where our interactive pages come in beautifully.  At first glance they may just look like a 'normal' page, but pull the tab, open the door, flip it open and you'll find space to do all that and more!     The ladies attending the advanced class this coming Saturday will be having a go at this, so you might find some of their creations on Facebook in the coming weeks as my 'page of the week'.   Meanwhile, here are a few of mine to give you a couple of ideas.

I love doing these sort of pages, but they do require careful planning so are not quick pages!

Enjoy having a go and see what you can achieve.  If you get stuck bring them to a class or scrap table and we can take a look - it's always possible to work it out.

meanwhile,
Happy Scrappin'

Barb :-)

It's May already

Where did that go?   Probably passed me by whilst I've been buried in my scrap bunker.

Here we are a
nd it's New York New York time, that's what our beautiful new template is called.  Grab a brew and take a look at our new products in the May catalogue - tab is above.
I don't have any 'New York' photos, but here is a page of my dad in Berlin - it's the closest I have, lol.

Seriously, I've been busy with study and scrap classes.  I did find time to have a stall at the Mothers Day Ladies Night Market at the Sanctuary Golf Resort here in Bunbury last Friday.  Sooo many lovely things that the talented ladies of this region have to offer us all.  Do watch out for it next time and plan a night with your girl friends, if you are in the area.  I met lots of great ladies, some of whom are coming to a class this coming Saturday... if you would like to join them there are still some spaces.

Saturday May 11th
Morning Class: 9.30am - 12.30pm
Afternoon Class: 2.00pm - 5.00pm

You can book into both if you wish - byo lunch.  Don't forget though there are only six places maximum so get in quick - email me using the link on the right.

Not sure what is happening in June yet as we have the long weekend... watch this space, there will be classes on the 8th for sure so 'save the date'.

Happy Scrappin',

Barb

Orion Pages

I realised that my last post didn't give you any pics, so here is a couple of pages done with typical holiday snaps taken on a trip to Berlin with my dad & brother a couple of years ago - using the ORION template.  Such a versatile template and so easy to make effective pages.

I really should finish that trip using the new BERLIN template that was released this month.  Watch this space for some pages coming up with it - or head over to my Facebook page, you might see some I've shared from other consultants.

Happy Scrappin',
