Over the years I've had a few people question me about journalling on our pages. It's not that we don't do it, just that as we often make many pages of a holiday or event there is no need to journal every page. It is good to put dates (when you can remember them), and of course names of those who appear in the photos, location ect, but that can be done on the title page, on a special journal page or index and isn't necessary on every page.
When we journal, how do we 'do it'? Often we use signs that are already at the location, (like the one here)...
or use our alphabet templates to annotate location, date or occasion - here is a page that does all three
and one that combines both methods...
But what about when you want to tell more of a story? That's where our interactive pages come in beautifully. At first glance they may just look like a 'normal' page, but pull the tab, open the door, flip it open and you'll find space to do all that and more! The ladies attending the advanced class this coming Saturday will be having a go at this, so you might find some of their creations on Facebook in the coming weeks as my 'page of the week'. Meanwhile, here are a few of mine to give you a couple of ideas.
I love doing these sort of pages, but they do require careful planning so are not quick pages!
Enjoy having a go and see what you can achieve. If you get stuck bring them to a class or scrap table and we can take a look - it's always possible to work it out.
meanwhile,
Happy Scrappin'
Barb :-)
